Beware:
Many
computer repair shops are staffed by incompetent
repair technicians with little to no training or
actual "hands-on" experience with computers. As
PC World.com found out in their recent
undercover study of both nationwide computer
service centers and small computer shops that
somewhere around 80 to 90 percent of them either
couldn't fix the problem or sold them hundreds
of dollars of unneeded parts. Next time you're
in one of the
major electronic stores
that have in-home computer repairs services - go
to the counter and tell them you're interested
in
working there. Then ask them how
much
training
or computer education you need to
work there. You be surprised at the answer!
